A.W. Lymn - The Family Funeral Service Nottingham

We would like to express our sincere thanks to AW Lymn Derby for the exceptional care, compassion and professionalism they showed our family following the death our Father. This is the second time we have used AW Lymn Derby for a family funeral and we chose them again after the care and compassion they showed when looking after our Mum in October 2025. Arranging the funeral of your loved one is a very emotional event and one that we never want to do but thanks to the team at AW Lymn Derby they make sure that they put the family at the centre and heart of everything they do. We dealt with Greg at Derby and he was great in reassuring us that Dad would be looked after and kept us updated on every process of the journey. When arranging a funeral there is a lot decisions and correspondence to deal with and we had every confidence that Greg was on top of everything and made sure we were updated along the way and responded to emails and phone calls in a prompt and efficient manner. Greg was open to the changes we requested with aspects of the order of service until we were happy with the final version of the funeral stationery. We requested Greg to lead Dads funeral because he had met Dad previously when we were arranging Mums Funeral and Dad liked Greg and we thought it was a fitting final tribute that Greg would be able to take Dad on his final journey. Greg did a great job ensuring that everyone was in the right place at the right time and ensured the timings for the Church Service and at the Crematorium were met without any delays, quite a job with amount of people who attended Dads Final Journey. A special Thank You to Kevin and Stuart who assisted Greg on the day of the funeral who are both a credit to AW Lymn Derby. They drove Hearse and Family car with respect and ensured we arrived at the Church on time and finally at the Crematorium. As family we certainly felt that everything was on a personal level and there was never any pressure on the decisions we made for Dads Funeral. As a family we highly recommend AW Lymn to look after your loved ones when the need arises.

2 years down the line and yet I find myself here again! This is the one place I would highly recommend. Becky at the Rainworth branch welcomed me once again, the same empathy she showed me when I was there before. Becky remembered me from 2 years ago. My late Fathers wishes were different from my late Mothers. We went with the Direct Cremation this time. As this service is very straight forward Becky explained the short steps. Becky kept me informed along the way. Rang me when needed. As my Parents had 2 completely different services the same professionalism, respect and politeness has been showed and Becky is a credit to the company!

At a time when we were grieving and dealing with the practical realities of losing a much-loved husband, father and grandfather, they guided us through every stage of the funeral arrangements with patience and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. They took the time to explain the options available, answered our questions, and ensured that every detail was handled sensitively and professionally. Their support removed a huge burden from our family during an incredibly difficult period. The funeral itself was beautifully organised and conducted with great care and dignity. Everything ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on remembering and celebrating a life of a husband, father and grandfather rather than worrying about arrangements. What stood out most was the genuine compassion shown throughout the entire process. We never felt like just another client; we felt supported, listened to and cared for at every stage. We are deeply grateful to everyone involved and would not hesitate to recommend AW Lymn to any family needing funeral services. Thank you for helping us give Alan the send-off he deserved.

Me and my brother used A W Lymn in Radcliffe and they couldn’t have done better. From the start meeting with Emma she was truly comforting and professional and really helped ease our minds, as 2 kids in their 20’s who had no idea what to expect this was perfect. Throughout Emma was checking in on us not just from a business perspective but genuine care.
