Absolutely brilliant service from B Matthews, and in particular Gill who really made dealing with such a sensitive and distressing situation so much easier for all the family. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I can't speak highly enough of the whole team from the initial contact to the funeral itself. Everything and I mean everything went off without a hitch, even arranging for the sun to shine on the day of Dad's funeral! Dad had a wonderful send-off, helped in no small part by B Matthews. The family thank you all.

We’ve recently had the honour of supporting a family who arranged their loved ones’ services through B Mathews at Woolston. The family spoke so warmly of the care and sensitivity shown by the team at B Mathews — it was clear the staff were not only professional but genuinely compassionate at every stage. Following the cremation, the family chose to have the Ashes Scattered at Sea — a deeply meaningful choice for those with ties to the coast, naval service, or simply a love of the ocean. It’s something we’re often quietly involved in, helping to create a calm, respectful setting for that final moment of goodbye. There’s something uniquely peaceful about a coastal farewell, and it remains a privilege to assist families in this part of the journey. B Mathews provided a thoughtful and dignified process from start to finish — a comfort in such an emotional time. Ashes At Sea.
