Clarkson's Independent Funeral Directors Ltd is a family-owned and operated funeral business, founded as Jolly's of Bath and reestablished under its current name in August 2001. The company has been owned since 2004 by mother and daughter Carol Spalding and Sophie May, with Sophie becoming a partner in 2013. Their Saltford branch, located at 489b Bath Road, was opened in July 2014 and is cared for by Alana Hurst, Branch Manager and Funeral Director.
As a truly independent firm, Clarkson's prides itself on offering a high level of personal attention, free from the constraints of any national chain. The team believes that every funeral service should be individual, reflecting the unique wishes and personality of each client. Whether organising a traditional arrangement or a celebration of life, the team is dedicated to guiding families through every step of the process.
Clarkson's is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and welcomes families of all religions and those wishing for non-religious services. They are registered members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Good Funeral Guide, and the Natural Death Centre, and also offer the free GriefChat bereavement support service.
"Extremely professional while also being extremely compassionate, caring and considerate. They went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and special send off for a very special lady."

"We could not be more appreciative of Alana at Clarksons for her sensitive, sympathetic and helpful manner in dealing with all the funeral arrangements for my wife's father. Nothing was a problem and she was so considerate from the first visit to the day of the burial. You are a wonderful credit to the company and to the whole profession."
