"Although Phil is new to the Hartlepool branch and this was his first ex-military funeral in the area, you would never have known. He reached out to Hartlepool RAFA and the Hartlepool British Legion to make sure the right people were involved. He even arranged for an RAF flag, which meant so much to us. He took it upon himself, in his own time, to learn the best route, suggested including the place where Mam and Dad first met, and on the day he stopped the cars, saluted, and marched to the next location. It was an incredibly touching tribute."
