Duncan Robinson Funeral Services is a family-run, independent funeral directors based in Settle, North Yorkshire, serving the local community and surrounding areas. Duncan Robinson, who was born and raised in Settle, became a full-time Funeral Director in 2000, though his involvement in the profession dates back to 1975 when he worked alongside his father-in-law, Gus Porter, who himself served the community for over 40 years. Duncan established his own independent business in April 2008, continuing a proud family tradition of compassionate care.
The business has grown steadily as a true family enterprise. Duncan and Val's son Stephen joined in 2015 and went on to attain his Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration (Dip. FAA) in 2018. Dominic Stockdale joined the team in 2020, bringing further experience from the funeral profession. The business is also supported by part-time staff Phillip Littlewood, John Cummins, and Lawrence Martin.
Duncan Robinson Funeral Services prides itself on offering a caring, personal, and dignified 24-hour service to bereaved families. Their directors are available to meet with families either in their own homes or at the premises, guiding them through every step of the funeral planning process with sensitivity and professionalism.
