Edd Frost and Daughters Family Funeral Directors of Banbury is an independent family funeral business based at 14 Canada Close, Banbury, Oxfordshire. Founded by Edd Frost, who was born in Banbury and brought up locally in Adderbury, the business was established with a deep personal commitment to serving bereaved families in the community he grew up in. Edd holds a Diploma in Funeral Directing (Dip F.D.) and is a Member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors (M.B.I.F.D.), and entered the profession following the loss of both his own parents.
The business prides itself on providing a highly personal, one-to-one service, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Families can make arrangements either at the Banbury premises or, if preferred, in the comfort of their own home at no extra charge. The team offers a full range of funeral services, from simple to complex, and features an in-house florist — a unique offering that allows families to choose floral tributes on-site. Chapels of Rest are available by appointment.
Edd Frost and Daughters is described as Banbury and Brackley's only independent family funeral directors, operating under the ethos of 'Where caring comes first.' The Banbury office is open Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 5:00pm, with round-the-clock availability for urgent needs.
"They handled everything with such care and dignity, making an overwhelming process feel manageable and ensuring my husband was looked after with the respect he deserved. I will always be deeply grateful to the whole team for the compassion and support they gave me and my family during such a painful time."
— Michelle Macartney
"Edd was so lovely, helpful, calm and respectful, he made a highly emotional time in our lives manageable and together we were able to give Dad the send-off he truly deserved. We'll never be able to thank you enough."
— Victoria Avery (about Edd)
"Aaron arranged the funeral for me, from start to finish he made the whole process so easy with his calm and reassuring manner. Even now, a month down the line he has been in touch to ensure the internment of my grandmother's ashes will be carried out to my wishes."
— Sally Lester (about Aaron)
"I could not have received greater support, kindness or consideration from Edd, Barbara and Aaron during what has been a very sad and difficult time. I trusted him implicitly and I was right to do so."
— Stephanie Rew (about Edd)
"From the moment that Edd answered the phone to me (on a Sunday afternoon), I felt that I had known him for years. He came to my home later that evening to talk to me with compassionate understanding about my mother's passing, and from the very start of his involvement he was never anything less than outstanding."
— Catherine Brady (about Edd)
"From that initial conversation through to the day of the funeral itself, she was there for me every step of the way. She was incredibly professional, supportive, and genuinely caring, especially at a time when I felt at my most upset and vulnerable. Her kindness and reassurance meant more to me than I can put into words."
— Michelle Macartney (about Tracey)
