Fawcett and Hetherington Funeral Service is a family-owned and operated funeral business based at King George House, 92 High Street, Eston, Middlesbrough. Founded in 1993 by Alistair Fawcett and David 'Pip' Hetherington, the company began in South Bank, expanded to Normanby, and in 2010 consolidated its operations into its purpose-designed funeral home in Eston. Today, the business is led by Alistair and Pauline's sons, Terry and Andrew Fawcett, who continue the family legacy with the same dedication and compassion that has defined the company for over three decades.
Operating under the motto 'Our Family Caring for Your Family,' the team treats every family as a neighbour rather than a client. Their telephone is answered 24 hours a day by a dedicated member of staff, ensuring support is always available. The business is regulated by the NAFD and subject to regular inspections to maintain the highest standards of service, ethics, and facilities.
Fawcett and Hetherington offer a comprehensive range of services including traditional funerals, direct unattended cremations, small simple cremations with up to 25 mourners, memorials and keepsakes, and pre-paid funeral plans. They also provide free basic funeral services for children under 16. As the only family-owned funeral service based in Greater Eston, they are proud to serve the wider Teesside community with honesty, transparency, and heartfelt care.
