Fred Hamer Funeral Services Ltd (incorporating E and B Shufflebotham) is one of the North West of England's oldest family owned and run funeral directors, having supported bereaved families for over 100 years. Based at the Winfield Funeral Home on James Street in Rossendale, Lancashire, the firm has built a trusted reputation for providing high quality care and professionalism to the families it serves. The company is led by Managing Director John, who has been running the business for more than 50 years, supported by his wife Dawn and daughters Emma and Hannah.
The firm has grown significantly over the years and operates branches throughout the North West, with its operational base at Cedar Lodge, Rawtenstall. Fred Hamer runs one of the largest fleets of Mercedes and Rolls Royce ceremonial vehicles in the area, which are also made available to other funeral firms. The team includes many experienced staff members, a number of whom have been with the firm for over 25 years.
Fred Hamer Funeral Services is proud to be members of both the NAFD and SAIF, reflecting their commitment to professional standards. Families are guided and supported from the very first point of contact, with the firm's motto being "Providing excellence through experience."
