On behalf of my family and my dad, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Goodwins Funeral Directors. Sadly, my dad passed away suddenly and far too soon, which meant we didn’t have the opportunity to understand his wishes or plan ahead. At such a difficult and overwhelming time, we spent some time reading reviews of local funeral directors, and Goodwins stood out to us with, by far, with the best reviews. From our very first meeting with Rob, we felt supported and reassured. Rob was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the initial stages and explaining the process, which made everything a little easier. It was also a great comfort knowing that Liz was always at the other end of the phone whenever we had questions. Having never been through anything like this before, her help, patience and reassurance meant so much to us. On the day of the funeral, Nick was there to support us and made us feel completely at ease. His calm and caring approach helped us through what was an incredibly difficult day. Most importantly, we know that Dad was looked after with the utmost care and dignity throughout his time with Goodwins, and that is all we could ever have asked for. We are truly grateful to Rob, Liz, Nick and Hannah for their kindness, compassion and support during such a heartbreaking time. We cannot thank you enough for everything you did for Dad and for our family. We would wholeheartedly recommend Goodwins Funeral Directors to anyone who finds themselves needing their services.

I cannot praise Rob, Liz and the entire team enough. My Father passed away recently and as a family we were in uncharted waters for Funeral arrangements. But from the moment of first contact with Goodwins, they were incredible. They guided us every step of the way. They are exemplary with their professionalism, but also so kind and helpful. Liz’s suggestions for flowers etc and suitable coffin for my Father was spot on. On the day of the Funeral Liz was there to guide us every step again. Always on the end of the phone for help as well. Cannot recommend them enough.

When my friend recently passed away and I was asked to organise the funeral in the UK for the family who all lived in France, I had literally no idea what I needed to do. I rang Goodwins Funeral Directors and spoke to a lovely lady called Liz who ran through everything with me fully so I understood the process. They took such good care of my friend and were so respectful from start to finish, arranging everything beautifully, which was not easy for a couple of reasons, not least that the family in France speak no English. Every little touch was perfect and the team did such an amazing job. Afterwards so many people came up to me and said what a lovely service it was and would have been just what my friend would have wanted. We used Goodwins recently and found the service and care they provided to be first class. Communication was excellent, they anticipated our needs and provided clear expert advice in all aspects of arranging the funeral. On the day of the funeral, the team that attended the church were extremely professional and supported us throughout the service, taking the lead when required and guiding us through every step. Nick, Rob and Hannah are absolutely fantastic, they have dealt with sorting a prepaid funeral plan (very easy!) moving a family member, funerals, cremation burial. Getting headstones moved and letters added. All with kindness and professionalism! Nothing is too much trouble for them and they welcome you in with open arms. Even down to helping you reverse out into the road! A horrible time was made much easier because of them. Thank you all! met with Hannah and from the moment you walk in you are at ease. Hannah and Nick listened very carefully to what you want and then they put it into real life and being able to send my loved one on her way in exactly they was she loved her life was the most magical moment. They show such compassion and they have made a hard time a real celebration of someone we loved.
