H G King Funeral Services is a small, independent, and family-run funeral director based at The Old Bank, 24 North Road, Lancing, West Sussex. Established on 4th September 2017 by Henry George King, the business originally operated from 69 North Road before relocating to the former Lloyds Bank building in January 2022. Henry was introduced to the funeral industry by his late father, David, in 2011, and has been a proud part of the Lancing community for over 40 years through the King family.
The firm is run by Henry alongside his partner Isabella Roozbehan, and their Labrador retriever Bennington. H G King Funeral Services offers a wide variety of services including attended and unattended cremation and burial, tailored pre-paid funeral plans, stonemasonry memorials, repatriation, and post-funeral support. They also operate their own Lancing Service Chapel, which seats up to 36 guests and features music, photography slideshows, air conditioning, disabled access, and no time constraints.
Henry is deeply committed to giving back to the community, supporting local football, cricket, and bowling clubs, as well as schools and churches. The firm is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), ensuring annual premises inspections and a commitment to transparent, honest pricing with no hidden costs.
