H. J. Paintin Ltd. is a genuinely family owned and family run independent funeral business, established in Linton, Cambridgeshire in 1909. With over 110 years of history serving communities across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex, the company was founded by Mr Augustus Did-Dell and is today managed by his great-grandson, Rothgar Did-Dell Paintin, alongside his wife Susan, daughters Sarah and Rachel, son Matthew, son-in-law Gavin, and grandson Joshua. The Linton branch is one of three premises operated by the firm, alongside offices in Haverhill and Sawston.
The Linton branch offers a complete, compassionate and dignified funeral service, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The premises features disabled access, discreet arranging rooms, a Chapel of Rest and private offices. From the moment a family makes contact, the team strives to ensure that every last wish is fulfilled with affection, respect and the fullest dignity, making each funeral as special as the life being remembered.
With telephone lines always personally answered by their experienced team, H. J. Paintin provides not only funeral services but also funeral plans and memorial services, all bespoke to each family they serve. Their rich heritage and deeply personal approach have made them a trusted name in the local community for well over a century.
