Paintin Ltd. is a genuinely family owned and family run independent funeral business, established in 1909 and proudly serving communities across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex for over 110 years. The Sawston branch, located at 8 Morleys Place on the High Street, is one of three premises operated by the company, alongside Linton and Haverhill, and can be reached on 01223 830065. The branch features disabled access, discreet arranging rooms, a Chapel of Rest, and private offices.
Today, the business is led by Rothgar Paintin, the Great-Grandson of the founder, together with his wife Susan, daughters Sarah and Rachel, son Matthew, son-in-law Gavin, and grandson Joshua. This deep family involvement ensures a truly personal and compassionate service. Rothgar, Sarah, and Rachel arrange and conduct funeral services, while Matthew, Gavin, and Joshua manage the operational and support sides of the business.
H. J. Paintin offers a complete, bespoke and dignified funeral service, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team is dedicated to supporting families through one of the most difficult times of their lives, helping them fulfil their loved ones' last wishes with the utmost respect and dignity. Services include funeral arrangements, funeral plans and wishes, and memorials.
