Heathcote's Funeral Services is an independent, family-owned funeral home based at 1339 Ashton Old Road, Manchester. Founded in August 2017 by Craig and Julie Heathcote, the business was established with a commitment to providing professional, compassionate, and dignified funeral services for families across Manchester, Openshaw, Gorton, Stockport, Tameside, and the surrounding areas. Craig brings over ten years of experience in the funeral industry to the role, ensuring families receive expert guidance throughout one of the most difficult times of their lives.
The team at Heathcote's pride themselves on continuity of care, meaning the same person who handles the initial arrangements will guide the family through the entire process, right up to directing the funeral service itself. Bereavement support is also offered following the service. The funeral home provides a full 24-hour, seven-days-a-week service, ensuring help and guidance is always available. Families are welcomed with warmth and compassion the moment they step through the door.
Heathcote's Funeral Services offer a comprehensive range of services including burials, cremations, religious and non-religious ceremonies, traditional funeral cars, horse-drawn carriages, repatriation, funeral flowers, headstones, and funeral plans. They are proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors.
"Tonight made up for it — our mum would have been proud that we done tonight for her. With all our heart we would recommend this lovely family. Thanks again to Craig, Julie and all the family."
— Yvonne Byrne (about Craig, Julie)
"The fact that they live streamed her service and have said they will keep it online at our request is the icing on the cake. They gave us the most fair quote out of 8 we received and were absolutely the best choice for us."
— Alicia D
"Not only did they look after him, they also took amazing care of us as a family. Nothing was ever too much and they made a very hard day that bit more bearable."
— Lisa Mcmellon
"They went that extra mile to make my mum's special day even more magical. A family run business that is passionate, caring and professional throughout — I cannot thank this family and business enough for looking after my mum."
— Lee Davis
"Danielle, who did our service, was a credit — lovely words, she consoled us through our sadness, and joined in with the laughter of our memories. A massive thank you to all at Heathcote's who went above and beyond to help and kept in touch every step of the way."
— sue cheetham (about Danielle)
"From the moment they receive your loved one into their care they are there to hold your hand every step of the way and it doesn't end with the funeral — they do a memorial service every year too. This shows how much it means to them; it's not about a job with them, they truly care about what they do."
— Sue Judge

Heathcotes took care of my father before his final journey, not only did they look after him they also took amazing care of us as a family! Nothing was ever to much and they made a very hard day that bit more bearable. We were invited to attend their memorial evening for all the loved ones that they cared for, which was a lovely evening. Absolutely amazing family business.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the family at Heathcote for the memorial service they did last Wednesday (13.11.24) for all of the families who they have been involved in the passing of a loved one. It was a lovely service with lots of personal details. I would highly recommend their service for anyone out there who is looking for a funeral director. They give there time to talk you through all the details needed they explain everything to you and offer help along the way. From the moment they receive your loved one into their care they are there to hold your hand every step of the way and it doesn’t end with the funeral they do a memorial service every year to. This shows how much it mean to them it’s not about a job with them they truly care about what they do. Thank to all at Heathcotes from Sue Judge and family
