Heritage & Sons Funeral Directors

In April, we approached Heritage and Sons in Amersham to arrange the funeral of my father in law Tony Banham. I had no hesitation in contacting them, as the Winslow branch had made the arrangements for my parents funeral and had provided an excellent service. As expected, Matthew and Lynda in Amersham didn't disappoint. On our first visit we were welcomed and instantly made to feel comfortable and at ease. Matthew took details from us in a sensitive and understanding manner and guided us through the process. At all times he considered our specific requirements. Once the initial arrangements were made. Matthew assured us that if we had any further thoughts or questions to contact him. Both he and Lynda were accommodating and we couldn't have wished for a better experience. The day of the funeral was well managed and carried out with dignity and respect. Matthew contacted us following the funeral offering any additional support we may need which was greatly appreciated. In summary I would not hesitate to recommend Heritage and Sons to anyone looking to make arrangements for a funeral.

Lynda, Adrian and Matthew gave my mother Pamela Willison a lovely funeral. The Revd Charmaine Muir led the service beautifully. The service all flowed very well. It was well attended - I think that there were 40 people. Everything flowed without a hitch from the funeral procession from my mother’s house to the catering at the Crown Hotel afterwards. All the music fitted in well just as my mother would have liked. The yellow rose theme was very strong also just as my mother would have liked it. The order of service booklet was very well done with the yellow roses.

I can only speak highly of Matthew and Lynda. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. They showed genuine understanding and compassion, and their warm, personable approach made it easy for us to make decisions about every aspect of Dad’s funeral. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they gave us all the time we needed, never made us feel rushed, and supported us with kindness and reassurance at every stage. I arrived without an appointment the day that my husband had died. Lynda gave me all the time I needed to make the arrangements for his funeral, including a wonderful celebrant to manage the service. Throughout, Lynda was caring, understanding and very professional. The whole difficult and emotional process was managed brilliantly and at no time did I feel that I was under any pressure. I really don't think anyone could have made things easier for me and I am very grateful for the care and respect both my husband and I were given throughout by both Lynda and Matthew.
