My Daughter and I entrusted my late husband into the care of Derek Hume and his colleagues. I had little experience of arranging a funeral and choose Ian Brown Funeral Directors being a local independent company and after reading their excellent reviews. I would highly recommend Derek and his colleagues for their support, guidance and compassion. From our first meeting to the funeral itself they provided a highly professional and caring service. All aspects of the care my husband would receive prior to the funeral and the funeral itself were fully explained. Derek listened to what my husband had requested and his wishes were carried out to the letter. We were given options and advice but ultimately the choices were ours and nothing was too much trouble. We had a confirmation call from Derek prior to the funeral just to confirm that everything was in place and all would go to plan. I cannot thank him enough.

I must commend all members of staff for their friendly and professional approach. Fraser, who met Jane prior to her death and helped me so much in carrying out her wishes. His knowledge of process and procedures and how to apply it to our circumstances provided great confidence. Stuart our driver had an excellent approach. Whilst on the journey between church and crematorium he struck very good balance about when to chat and knowing when to leave us to ourselves. Although I had lesser dealings with Hazel and Anne their approach was also a credit to the team.
