John Heath and Sons is an independent, family-run funeral directors serving the Sheffield community, with a branch located at 1 Market Street, Eckington, Sheffield. As one of the oldest and largest firms of funeral directors in the North of England, the company has been serving families for over 140 years, with Adam and Jason Heath representing the sixth generation of the Heath family to own and run the business.
The Eckington branch is one of eight locations operated by John Heath and Sons across the Sheffield area, each offering modern chapel of rest facilities alongside the full range of funeral services. These services encompass everything from traditional cremations and burials to non-religious, humanist, and green woodland funerals, as well as direct cremations. The team also assists with flowers and transport, newspaper announcements, music choices, and order of service arrangements.
John Heath and Sons are founder members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), and are also members of the British Institute of Embalmers and the British Institute of Funeral Directors. The company prides itself on providing a personal, sensitive service to families during difficult times, and also offers pre-planning funeral arrangements with or without pre-payment.
