J P Turner & Daughters is a local independent family-run funeral business established by John Turner in 1985, based in Bangor, Gwynedd. The business has grown into a family affair, with John's daughters Rebecca and Victoria joining him to provide a personal, professional, and caring funeral planning service executed with dignity and compassion.
The firm offers a 24-hour service covering Bangor and the surrounding areas, including Anglesey, Conwy, and Gwynedd. They guide families step by step through all aspects of funeral arranging, from registering the death of a loved one to planning a fully personalised bespoke funeral service. J P Turner & Daughters follows the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) code of practice and adheres to the Office of Fair Trading recommendations on funeral costing.
Committed to environmental responsibility, from January 2022 the company pledged to plant a tree in memory of each person whose funeral they have had the honour of arranging. Their ethos centres on the personal touch, supporting families throughout the arrangements, on the day of the funeral, and beyond.
"We are extremely fortunate that JP Turner and Daughters were available to help us care for my mother in such a sensitive and professional manner. We are extremely grateful to them for their exceptional service."
— Pete Jones
"From start to finish they were just excellent, professional in the extreme and generous in their willingness to accommodate my wishes. I am so very grateful to them for taking so much responsibility and pressure off my shoulders."
— Toby Jugg
"Vikki and Becky were so sympathetic and understanding, everything was dealt with such professionalism. We were assisted during our difficult time, and everything was made so easy for us."
— Rhian Griffith Jones (about Vikki and Becky)
"My mother in law died suddenly at home and the response late on a Friday evening was very professional and dignified. The level of support given throughout the process leading up to the funeral was exceptional and made a difficult time as bearable and easy as possible."
— Keith Morris
"I cannot put into words just how much both Vicky and Becky of J P Turner & Daughters Funeral Services made a really difficult time easier on the passing of my mum. Nothing too much trouble. They were professional and personable at all times. We as a family cannot praise them enough for all the support given."
— Bev Bourner (about Vicky and Becky)
