From start to finish Wendy Wyatt looked after us. It was lovely as we had previously met Wendy when she did my father’s funeral. She is so kind and compassionate but also really professional. She remembered my mum from before so it was like having a trusted friend to help every step of the way. Although the day of the funeral was the worst rain ever Wendy still walked in front of the hearse, we all think that is a lovely and respectful thing to do. Thank you ☺️

My father sadly passed away on New Year’s Eve 2024. Unsure of which funeral service to trust with making the all important arrangements, I started researching online reviews. The numerous 5 star reviews duly led me to Joseph O’Connell Funeral Services. After my dealings with them, I can confirm that the extremely high praise is well founded. We were blessed and incredibly fortunate to have Wendy as our funeral director. This wonderful lady was caring, empathetic and the consummate professional, carefully guiding us through the whole process. The same qualities were true of all the staff that I had the pleasure of dealing with. The collective professionalism ensured that the arrangements went seamlessly, and most importantly, the difficult day of the funeral went perfectly, with the presentation of everything being immaculate. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were always available and prompt to respond to any queries. Notably, when accommodating a weekend appointment, such that the whole family were able to see my father in the chapel of rest. We were also very grateful for the help in arranging for several memorial jewellery pieces, which were beautifully made and which have brought us much needed comfort. For those who have suffered a heartbreaking loss and are seeking someone to entrust with the care of their lost loved ones, I would wholeheartedly recommend Joseph O’Connell Funeral Services.

It is never easy burying a loved one, so finding the right funeral director is extremely important. We lost our grandmother in January and we were recommended Joseph O'Connell Funeral Services by a family friend. The staff at Joseph O'Connell were very professional from start to finish. Paige was extremely caring and empathetic and made the whole funeral arrangement process seamless. She eased any doubts or concerns we had and was there to answer all of our questions. They were also very accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. They offered a 5* service and I cannot fault any aspect of it. I highly recommend them! Thank you.

I’ve recently lost my mum and Joe and his team have been incredible. I could not have done everything without them. They made a hard day, a beautiful one. It was everything my mum asked for and more. There service is impeccable and it makes a huge difference when you trust the people who are looking after your loved ones. The whole process from start to finish has been beautiful and I will continue to use Joe’s services when needed in the future. Not only does Joe’s business look after your loved ones but they make sure every detail is covered from the flowers, basket/coffin and even jewellery which you may want from a cremation. Joe has everything you need and honestly takes all pressure off you to make sure you are looked after at all times. I just can’t thank Joe, Lesley and Wendy enough it’s something I will never forget x
