"Lewis — you made the saddest time in our lives bearable. You took off all the responsibility from the moment of mum's death when we contacted you till the actual burial. Your kindness, professionalism and genuine care was exceptional."
— Jude Robinson (about Lewis)
"Small touches like calling just to check in, or every single member of the team knowing who I was and all the details every time I called — I can't stress enough how much they helped to ease the burden and make such a terrible time a little more bearable."
— Amy Gow (about Lewis)
"Unusually Lewis met with me and my wife before she died to plan her funeral in careful detail. She appreciated it a great deal. The ability to clearly follow my wife's wishes now comforts me and my children after her death."
— Jasper Shotts (about Lewis)
"Having just lost my son to suicide Lewis handled all the arrangements with kindness, compassion and respect. His attention to detail was first class — no funeral is nice but he ensured my precious son's final journey and service were a perfect memorial."
— Paula Tempest (about Lewis)
"One of the things that meant the most to me was that Lewis arranged for me to spend some quiet time sitting with my Dad's coffin a few days before the service. He also kindly took some photos and letters to put in with my Dad in his coffin. This was incredibly important and comforting to me, and I will always be grateful for that kindness."
— Lewis Jackson (about Lewis)

Lewis is an exceptional funeral director. Professional, kind and compassionate throughout, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He was incredibly organised, guided us through every step and gave thoughtful recommendations when we needed them. At such a difficult time for our family, his support made everything feel that little bit easier. We are extremely grateful and would highly recommend him.

There simply aren’t enough words to thank Lewis Northen Funeral Directors for everything they did for our family. From the very first moment, Lewis treated our beautiful mum with such dignity, gentleness and respect. Knowing she was in such caring hands gave us enormous comfort during the hardest time of our lives. Lewis didn’t just look after Mum, he looked after us too. His kindness, compassion and genuine empathy were evident every step of the way. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he guided us through every decision with patience, warmth and understanding. At a time when we felt completely lost, he brought calm and reassurance when we needed it most. The service he arranged for Mum was absolutely perfect. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, allowing us to focus on celebrating her life rather than worrying about the arrangements. It was everything we could have hoped for and more, and Mum would have been so proud. If you’re ever faced with choosing a funeral director, I can wholeheartedly recommend Lewis Northen Funeral Directors. They don’t just provide a service, they genuinely care about the people they are looking after. We will never forget the compassion, professionalism and kindness shown to our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us give our wonderful Mum the beautiful farewell she deserved. It is something we will always be grateful for.

I cannot thank Lewis enough for the care, compassion and professionalism he showed throughout the funeral arrangements for my Dad. From collecting my Dad from the mortuary a considerable distance away following a post-mortem, to guiding us through every stage of the funeral and cremation, Lewis was a tremendous source of support during a very difficult time. He treated both my Dad, myself and my family with great dignity and respect. One of the things that meant the most to me was that Lewis arranged for me to spend some quiet time sitting with my Dad’s coffin a few days before the service. He also kindly took some photos and letters to put in with my Dad in his coffin. This was incredibly important and comforting to me, and I will always be grateful for that kindness. Lewis and his team also organised a beautiful bouquet for the coffin in my dad’s favourite colours (blue, white and yellow!) which was a lovely personal touch. During the service, he read a poem and a short eulogy beautifully and respectfully. Although only seven people attended, Lewis ensured that the service felt meaningful, dignified and heartfelt. He made it clear that the number of attendees did not matter; what mattered was honouring my dad’s life with care and respect. Throughout the entire process, Lewis and his team was more than just a funeral director. He was a genuinely kind person, a good friend, and a source of comfort when it was needed most. His compassion and dedication made an incredibly difficult time much easier to bear. I would highly recommend Lewis Northen Funeral directors. To anyone looking for a funeral director who truly cares about the families he supports. Thanks Again!

I would like to thank Lewis for the kindness, care and support he showed to our family during the funeral arrangements for my husband’s Dad. Everything was handled with dignity and respect, from bringing him back from the hospital after a post-mortem to organising a beautiful and personal funeral service. Lewis arranged lovely flowers in his favourite colours, read a poem and a short eulogy, and made the service feel special and meaningful despite there being only a small number of people attending. One thing that meant a great deal to my husband was being given the opportunity to spend some quiet time with his Dad’s coffin before the service. This was a thoughtful gesture that brought a lot of comfort. Lewis was professional throughout, but also genuinely caring and supportive at a very difficult time. We are very grateful for everything he did and would highly recommend him to anyone needing funeral services.

Lewis and his team guided and supported us as a family through the most difficult time and remained at hand throughout, ensuring that our wishes were followed and we were fully informed at every stage. Compassion and kindness was at the forefront of every conversation and we really appreciate everything that Lewis and the team did to ensure that my brother's funeral was exactly as we wanted it to be.
