Little and Caine Ltd is one of the few family run, independent funeral directors serving the Grange-over-Sands area of Cumbria, with branches also in Barrow-in-Furness, Dalton-in-Furness, and Ulverston. The business has deep roots in the local community, having been founded by Gilbert Caine in 1948 following his wartime experience at Vickers. The company grew through the generations, with Gilbert's son David joining in 1959, and in the 1980s the funeral businesses of L V Little & Son and Gilbert Caine amalgamated to form Little and Caine Ltd. Today, the third generation of the Caine family — Paul, along with family members Pamela and Helen — continues to run the business, carrying out nearly 600 funerals a year.
The Grange-over-Sands branch can be reached on 015395 33550 and is located at Beech Cross, Kents Bank Road. Little and Caine pride themselves on providing a genuinely caring, sensitive service, with highly trained staff available to guide families through every aspect of the funeral process. Services include traditional funerals for both burial and cremation, chapel of rest facilities, funeral plans, and memorial services, all delivered with the compassion and professionalism built up over generations of service to the West Cumbria area.
