I've been fortunate enough to not have to arrange a funeral before. So like a lot of people I found it quite overwhelming not knowing where to start, not knowing what to do, but only knowing I wanted it to be something my Mom would have loved. Sian was very clear with the first meeting what the day could look like, how a day "normally" goes, but after taking the time to ask questions about, who Mom was, Sian was also able to suggest some ways we could sprinkle a little bit here and there to make it truly personal. You can tell Sian has your best interests at heart, will look after you in the build up, and her team will have your back on the day. Thanks Sian. Mom would have loved that send off.

Siân at Middleton and Wood helped us to make the funeral of a very dear friend exactly what he wanted. She went over and above, to ensure our friends wishes were realised even though it was tremendously tight deadlines. Sian was my light in the dark after we lost mom. I had never had to organise a funeral and didn’t know where to start. There was no need to worry about anything with Sian at Middleton and Wood, from the moment we spoke on the phone I was reassured that I had support and guidance. The process was made so much easier knowing it was in Sian’s hands. From choice of coffin, celebrant, flowers, cars to orders of service and just the practicalities of the day, Sian was amazing. The day of the funeral ran smoothly and was organised wonderfully giving myself and the family time to say goodbye rather than having to worry about the day. Sian went above and beyond not only for my mom but for me personally and I can say with absolute honesty that I would not have coped without Sian’s support. Sian is a true light in the darkness and the definition of care, compassion and kindness. I will never be able to thank her enough.

I cannot praise Sian and her team enough when they did my Mum’s funeral in June 25 . Sian made an awful , emotional situation more bearable .

From the outset of our engagement with Middleton and Wood we felt well supported. Initially the gentlemen who came to collect mom from home (in the early hours of the morning) were compassionate, but also emanated a quiet confidence which made the tough time just that tiny bit more bearable as it had a calmness to it. Sian and Jake were absolutely incredible in supporting us through the process. They were empathetic and compassionate throughout, again with a calmness which gave you confidence. Sian from the outset was professional, yet honest and candid in her work and suggestions. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Sian did mom’s make up for us before the chapel of rest but used her own artistic licence and photos of mom to make sure she looked as much like mom as she could’ve. For this we are eternally grateful. Jake made us feel welcome and again, his peaceful and confident disposition was very soothing in such a turbulent time, especially when visiting mom in the chapel of rest. His communication was exemplary as was his support on this day (and many others). I would highly recommend Middleton & Wood. Thank you all for your kindness, respect and compassion. You truly are wonderful.
