⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Losing my mum was heartbreaking, but from the moment we met Peter, I felt we were in safe and caring hands. He took the time to really listen and understand what Mum meant to us, and he made sure every detail of her funeral reflected her warmth and kindness. Nothing was ever rushed or too much trouble — Peter was patient, compassionate, and genuinely cared about getting everything just right. On the day, everything ran so smoothly and beautifully; it felt like the perfect farewell for Mum. I’ll never forget the comfort Peter gave us during such a painful time. Thank you, Peter, for treating Mum with such dignity and for supporting our family with so much care and respect.

We used Neville’s in Sheford many year ago and they were the obvious choice when our dad recently passed. We are so grateful for the outstanding care and support we received following the recent passing of our dad. From start to finish, everything was handled with such compassion, professionalism, and respect. A heartfelt thank you to Sarah and Barry, who were exceptional throughout. Their kindness, patience, and attention to detail made a very difficult time that little bit easier. They guided us gently through every step and ensured that Dad’s farewell was exactly as we wanted it to be—dignified, personal, and full of love. We truly appreciate everything they did for our family.helping us give Dad the goodbye he deserved.

Had my mums funeral done by Neville, was well taken care of and was able to visit the chapel of rest twice. Was able to pay for the funeral via monthly bank transfer till paid off. 10 years later went back to Neville for my mums headstone. Saved up for this time, so paid in advance. Headstone craftmanship was great, well happy. Now mum is finally complete may she be happy and rest in peace.

Arranging a funeral is never going to be a pleasant experience but all of the staff at Neville go out of their way to ensure the whole process from start to finish is as smooth and stress free as possible. We unfortunately had to arrange both parent's funerals within a short time period. Back in November last year we first met Kate when we went in to discuss arrangements for our Dad's funeral. Kate is kind, patient, empathetic and personable. The communication is exceptional and you know what's going every step of the way. I must also mention Peter - he ensured everything ran smoothly on the day of the service and again, gave it a very personal touch. When our mum suddenly passed in March, there was no doubt in our minds that we wanted to use Neville's services again and knew we were 'in safe hands' returning to such warm, friendly staff.

When you are thrust into the club that no one wants to be a member of, there is a moment where you think ‘I really have no idea who to call’ and it’s daunting to say the least. You may have walked past funeral homes but never taken the time to research. We went on reputation and proximity and from the moment we spoke on the phone I knew Kate and her team were the people to help us on this journey. The lovely gents, Aaron and Chris, who collected Dad were just superb at their jobs - caring, compassionate and professional. We thank them for their grace and kindness. Kate, our superb arranger, was incredibly kind, calm, knowledgeable and at no point did she try and up-sell or push us in a particular direction. She really listened, interpreted our brief and delivered on every aspect including the most fundamentally important to us - casting the person to lead the service. I call it ‘casting’ as it really does feel like that as it’s such a personal relationship so Kate is incredibly skilled in matching family to celebrant. Kate led us to the incredible celebrant Paula Evenden who is quite honestly one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met. Paula went above and beyond and it felt like she forged a real connection to our dear dad. She made a point of understanding and getting to know him and the family on a deep level. It really was beautiful to observe and gave us such comfort that dad would have LOVED Paula. Paula really is terrific at what she does and many of our party commented on her being the best they’re ever witnessed. Barry, our funeral director was also utterly charming and his team were incredibly professional and kind. Floral display also quite beautiful and again, no pressure to use their services. If anyone would like to speak to me directly if they are still unsure of who to choose, I’d be very happy to have my details passed over. Thank you so very much to the team at Neville’s Shefford. We will never forget your efforts and will always think of you all very fondly. Best wishes to all.
