Sim & Son Funeral Directors has been serving the local communities of Glasgow and the surrounding areas since its establishment in 2003. The funeral home is located at 273 Bearsden Road, Anniesland, in premises that were formerly the Temple Anniesland Police Station. In January 2017, the business reinvested in these premises, undertaking a complete refurbishment that restored the building to its former glory. The result is a stylish, contemporary, and welcoming funeral home offering pristine, comfortable, and tranquil reception rooms for bereaved families, along with on-site parking, a small service room, and a chapel of rest.
The dedicated team at the Glasgow funeral home is committed to creating tailored funerals that reflect the unique life of each loved one. They provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by telephone. Home visits can also be arranged for families who prefer to discuss arrangements in the comfort of their own home.
Sim & Son Funeral Directors is part of Funeral Partners Limited and is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD). The firm offers a range of services including cremations, burials, green and woodland funerals, unattended cremation, repatriation, and prepaid funeral plans through the Choice plan.
"From the moment we spoke to Shona and Stevie we knew we were in the best hands. Very welcoming, warm, pleasant, kind people. I can't say enough on the standard of support this lovely family-run funeral home has given us all through this very hard time."
— Donna Mcilroy (about Shona, Stevie)
"They made what could have been a very stressful time, easier to deal with. The advice to incorporate some funds for the wake was appreciated. I dealt with Shona mostly and she was great."
— Vinny (about Shona)
"From the first call we realised that we were entrusting a 'Family' with our family's loved one. They evidently have a 'can do' attitude and their communication throughout was exemplary. They made their wonderful premises available to all the family such that we could pay our respects and feel included."
— DAVIDR (about Shona, Steve)
"Also while he was on annual leave Nicole helped dress and prepare my mum. My mum looked absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Sim and Son."
— Lesley Hill (about Blair, Nicole)
"We as a family were guided through every step and decision with patience and empathy on another level. We felt cared for and guided throughout the day. And it didn't stop there. The aftercare was dealt with in such a dignified, considerate manner. Feel grateful to Shona and the team for helping us give our lovely Dad the send off he deserved."
— michele morrison (about Shona)
"I can't express how much Sim & Son helped me during such a difficult time. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made a challenging experience much more manageable. It brought me great comfort to know that mum was in such capable and caring hands. Your compassion will not be forgotten."
