Sue Gibbons Funeral Service is an independent funeral director based in Wigan, Lancashire, established in 2018 by Sue Gibbons and her husband Karl. Sue began her career in the funeral profession in 1983, training at The North West School of Embalming in Wallgate, Wigan. Following a distinguished career with the Greater Manchester Ambulance Service, from which she was medically discharged in 1999, Sue spent 16 years as a freelance embalmer serving prominent funeral homes across Wigan, Bolton, and Manchester.
Motivated by a desire to provide exceptional, personalised funeral services at fair and affordable rates, Sue and Karl founded the business to serve the Wigan community with compassion and dignity. The team is committed to supporting families through every step of the grieving journey, offering dignified, personal, and compassionate care around the clock, without compromising on quality.
