My mother passed away recently and Tony Clarke and team handled the funeral. They were professional, courteous, compassionate and brilliant; just brilliant. They - and the Humanist Celebrant that was recommended to us - made the whole thing, and the day itself, very easy for us to deal with. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Thank you for looking after my late sister's funeral. The arrangments were made with funeral director Christine she explained everthing very clearly, which made things much easier for me and my fmily. The service itself was carried out as we wanted, respect and I truly appriciated the kindness shown to all of us. We would recommend you to anyone in need of funeral. Thank you Wilkinson family.

We cannot thank you enough. From the moment we walked in , girl in office made us feel so welcome and the care was impeccable. Losing Mum was such a hard time, but you brought calm and comfort to us and somehow even a few laughing and smileing along the way , which made things easierto bear. Mum looked beautiful, the funeral home itself was so warm and peaceful , and every little details was taken care of. Our hearts are broken, but the empathy and kindness shown by the Tony Clarke team made everything fell just that little bit lighter. Thank you so much xxx

My Uncle Jack died age 86 on 01/08/2017 in Sunderland Hospital having spent his last days in Alexander View Care home in Southwick not a stones throw of the place he was born 76 Edward Burdis Street, so I thought it fitting his funeral arrangements should be handled by a local funeral director. So I contacted Tony Clarke who made the whole experience a celebration of my late uncle's life in a way that even today puts a smile on my face. Tony arranged for a humanist service which was conducted by female at Sunderland crematorium with humour and empathy in front of the assembly of us 8 mourners. Tony made the whole event so special by arranging to have my uncles trumpet placed on his coffin instead of flowers, and to top things off arranged to have my uncle's favourite Puccini aria as his intro music and an lost composition played by Jacks hero a Jazz trumpeter called Harry James as his final curtain call So thank you Tony for everything you did to make my last memory of my uncle Jacks time on earth the best it could possibly be.
