From the outset we had absolute confidence in the service provided for the funeral of our mother Joyce by Mr David Parslow and the WCP team at Newton Abbot. Our wishes and instructions were followed with attention to detail. It gave us comfort and peace of mind knowing that we would be able to honour our mum in a personal dignified way. Even in torrential rain the funeral director paged the hearse and the bearers carried out their duties with professionalism, for which we are grateful. During what was one of the hardest things myself and family have had to deal with, this company was absolutely amazing! My father passed away suddenly. We had dealings with David who my mum booked with. He was such a lovely soft man who had the upmost compassion for our situation. The information to help us and directions he gave were so helpful. Also Chloe, nothing was to much trouble at all. Answering all our questions about different aspects of the chapel of rest. On the day, the lovely people who bought dad were brilliant in helping us with carrying dad in made it comfortable. Newton Abbot branch, what a wonderful office!

I met Alan back in February when sadly my Mum had passed away.. What a wonderful guy he is.. He has a wealth of knowledge that helped us give Mum the send off we wanted.. Nothing was too much trouble and he made sure I was always informed of everything.. Sadly my husband passed in June.. there was absolutely no hesitation in wanting Alan to help me again.. Yet again he made things so much easier for me..Making sure I was informed and guiding me to achieve the funeral I wanted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone and am so happy to have had him by my side during the last 5 months. Absolute first class service.

For anyone who has had a recent bereavement, it is an incredibly difficult time and one of, if not the worst time of my life loosing my mother. However I cant thank WCP for their professionalism, sympathy, understanding and grace at every step of the way. From being in the office to the day of the service they are responsive and willing to help with any request, and the order of service created will be kept for ever. The Service and ceremony itself was the best I could have asked for and have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone. If you visit I cant recommend Alan-Baker Bright enough. A true honest gentlemen who has a heart of gold. Thank you WCP

So happy we chose Hugh Mills & Gaye Funeral Directors. From start to finish they provided excellent service. All the staff we met were polite, helpful and understanding.
