Walter C. Parson Funeral Directors is a family business established in 1842 at Stoke Climsland, Cornwall. It has, either by inheritance or acquisition, remained in the family over seven generations.
We strive to deliver a first class service, one which would only be acceptable to a member of our own family.
"If a funeral can be called good, then the one organised by Walter Parsons was first class. I hope I don't need your services for quite a while, but would not go anywhere else."
— Jill Whittall
"Walter Parsons walked us through the whole process. They made it clear and took the burden off our shoulders. The professionalism shown and the care they took of my family was exceptional."
— Jill Whittall
"The arrival of the hearse at the crematorium was conducted with great dignity, respect and professionalism. I couldn't have asked for anything more."
— Jean Fry
"Funerals are never happy events, but Walter Parson's made the occasion less stressful and more bearable, and I can sincerely recommend them to anyone who is in the sad position of having to choose a funeral director."
— Jean Fry

To Matt, Tanya and all the Team. Special thanks for your help and support at a very difficult time, with the added stress of the Coroner's office. Everything was carried out with care and efficiency. Again thankyou. Jane and Malcolm

A heartfelt thank-you to all at the Plympton office for their care and professionalism shown to my family and I, from the first phone call onwards. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt that they really cared. Thank you also for recommending the florist Hannah, who beautifully captured mums cottage garden flowers for her arrangements. Also for recommending the Celebrant, Paul Whitell, who was so kind and compassionate.

Exceptional professional service. The staff are very dedicated, caring and supportive. We can’t thank Shaun enough for his support at this very difficult time. We were kept updated throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for their team.

We cannot thank Shaun, Tanya, Darren, Steve and the whole Team at WCP Plympton enough. From beginning to end their exemplary professionalism, care, sensitivity and good humour made a very difficult process so much easier. A special mention to Paul Whitell the celebrant who was recommended by Shaun and who captured the essence of our dad beautifully. Thank you all again. Maxine & Natasha

My brother Alan and I would like to thank the staff at Walter C Parsons , particularly Sean(Shaun) and Tania , for the excellent way they handled my mother’s arrangements and service. They actually dealt with my father 43 years ago too, so it was so appropriate they dealt with mum. They were empathetic, understanding and totally delivered throughout the process, making the service the joy and celebration of life, that mum would have wished for. Thank you so much
