"Working with Becci Wiles of Woods' and celebrant Glyn Bawden really was a comforting pleasure for me throughout both the planning and delivery of the service during a time of grief onset. They took my draft input, suggestions and expressed family wishes fully into account through their respective steady, measured, input and support all given with obvious compassion. All of this added up to making the service so right at a very fitting venue."

This review in context: Occasion: small, family pre-cremation committal service attended by a dozen mourners for my elderly mother who passed away whilst a resident in a local Care Home. Venue: Harbour View Lodge Ceremony Hall, Harbour View Crematorium Our engagement with Woods & Tapper’: From initial contact in anticipation of an inevitable passing once “end of life medication” had been prescribed and through that passing to the planning and delivery of the funeral. My experience: “For me Woods & Tapper Funeral Service (Dorchester) were commendable throughout: from initial contact with Pauline Guy followed by discreet prompt liaison with the Care Home when the time came, supportive guidance navigating the current certification process trail with information supplementing the excellent Dorset Registrar’s website information through to initiating the funeral planning itself. Working with Becci Wiles of Woods’ and celebrant Glyn Bawden really was a comforting pleasure for me throughout both the planning and delivery of the service during a time of grief onset. A process in which they took my draft input, suggestions and expressed family wishes fully into account through their respective steady, measured, input and support all given with obvious compassion. All of this added up to making the service so right at a very fitting venue”

We would like to send our heart felt thanks to Woods and Tappers for their care, respect and professionalism for my Grandad who has recently passed. Thank you Harry, Josh and the rest of the team, you and the team are amazing at what you do, you kept my Grandad at the centre of everything and created a beautiful service of celebration of his life which we are forever grateful for. Nothing was ever to much, communication was excellent and the respect shown was appreciated. We used Harbour View Crematorium for the service and the wake, these are beautiful grounds which provide you with the space and time to reflect on and celebrate a loved one without feeling rushed. Thank you Harry and the wider team for supporting a grieving family to provide the most respectful and heart felt celebration for my Grandad, we really felt this was personalised to capture our Grandads personality and life.

My family and I would like to thank Harry Godden and his colleagues at Woods Funeral services for their kindness, support and compassion with helping us arrange our mother's funeral. We are so grateful that Mum's funeral was professionally executed and flowed beautifully. Everything we wanted for Mum was included and no question or query was too big or small. Harry helped us organise everything and did a faultless job and showed enormous respect for our mother. He answered every query immediately by email or by telephone call and during such a sad and emotional time, Harry and his colleagues were there to support us. We believe Mum had the best possible send off within a beautiful setting at Harbour View Crematorium. We would highly recommend Harry and the Team at Woods and Tappers Funeral Services for their kindness, helpfulness and going all out to make things easier in such difficult circumstances.
