Adams Funeral Directors is an independent, family-run funeral home based in Bristol, founded by Craig Adams in 2017. Operating from a welcoming funeral home in the heart of Bristol, the business was established following Craig's extensive experience in both corporate and independent funeral sectors, driven by a desire to offer a service that truly caters to the local community. In 2022, Craig received a 'Special Recognition Award for Services to the Community' at the MTM Awards, recognising the firm's dedication to the central Bristol community.
With a combined team experience of over 25 years, Adams Funeral Directors provides comprehensive support for bespoke funerals, direct cremations, burials, and pre-payment funeral plans across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. The team is committed to compassion, dignity, and reverence in everything they do, tailoring each service to reflect the individuality of the deceased — from floral arrangements and music selection to culturally specific ceremonies and celebrations of life.
Adams Funeral Directors prides itself on complete transparency regarding funeral costs, managing all aspects of services in-house and maintaining a consistently high standard through regular training. Their reputation for integrity and exceptional attention to detail is reflected in their 5-star Google reviews, and they are recognised affiliates of Ecclesiastical Planning Services.
"We couldn't have been more grateful for the love, care, support and genuine kindness the team showed us. Craig and his team have been truly amazing — at a very difficult time in our lives Craig made us feel at ease and gave us comfort. We wouldn't have wanted anyone else to look after my father in law."
— Victoria Wenyon (about Craig)
"At a time where your heart is truly breaking and you are lost and feeling vulnerable you need someone you trust. Craig was available at all hours, nothing was ever too much trouble. It was more than a transactional service — Craig truly listened and respected our values and understood us as a family."
— Shauna Davey (about Craig)
"I have never planned a funeral before and I was a lost sheep but with Craig's guidance and dedication the service was seamless. Craig handled everything for us and that in turn gave us more time to properly grieve. I would definitely recommend Adams especially if you need that personal touch at a time where other companies can make it rather clinical."
— Anitra Burnell (about Craig)
"On one occasion he made us know that mum was looking beautiful when he checked on her that morning. Being able to change our minds was also a thing that did not seem to bother Craig. He was patient, professional and reassuring. When the time comes, my family would want Craig Adams and his team to facilitate the proceedings just like he did for Mum."
— Sherrie Eugene-Hart (about Craig)
"Craig is a rare and beautiful soul and we truly feel that he is part of the family. We were able to share memories of Nan and he provided emotional support to us all. Every attention to detail, the way in which he cared and looked after my Nan was absolutely flawless. During the most painful time in your life, instructing Adams will be the most comforting and best decision you will make."
— Shauna Davey (about Craig)
"He went and personally purchased himself a pillow that better matched the colour of the lining in the coffin, and sent us pictures of the coffin and flowers in the Chapel of Rest on the morning of the funeral, which prepared us for the arrival. He does go above and beyond and is so thoughtful and genuinely caring. We felt we were talking with a friend rather than an undertaker."

We are so pleased that we choose Adams Funeral Directors when we started to plan our mum’s funeral. We’d like to thank Craig for the kindness and understanding we received, we were made to feel relaxed and at ease in the lovely surroundings of his funeral parlour, we felt we were talking with a friend rather than an undertaker in his place of work. This meant a lot to both of us and made the process of starting to plan the funeral a lot easier. Craigs professionalism and compassion stood out immediately when we were greeted by him, and even before that, when we made the first phone call to him on the night that mum passed away, his efficiency in arranging to collect mum by his smart well-mannered team that came to our home late at night made it easier to cope with our loss that evening, knowing that Craig was taking charge and advising us what to do and what would happen next. Also, thank you for sorting out the problems with Richard at the cemetery, regarding the plot being dug for 3 people, the names on the grave deeds with the council and for arranging the extras we asked for with the zinc lining and especially the Daimler cars which Craig managed to source for us. We were extremely pleased when we saw the cars come around the corner into our road and Craig walking in front of them, we knew we had made the right decision. Craig ensured that everything came together on the day perfectly and made the whole stressful process at this difficult time so much easier to deal with and to give our beloved mum the fitting burial she deserved. We were really pleased by the extra thoughtful touches Craig made, which he didn’t have to do. This included changing the original pillow that had been supplied with the coffin to one that he went and personally purchased himself that better matched the colour of the lining in the coffin, also for sending us pictures of the coffin and flowers in the Chapel of Rest on the morning of the funeral, which prepared us for the arrival. He does go above and beyond and is so thoughtful and genuinely caring. We both will personally come to Adams again in the future and have no hesitation in recommending them to our family and friends or anyone in need of their services as you will not be disappointed or find better. We wish you all the best of luck to continue providing what has to be the best funeral service in Bristol. Kindest regards Jen & Dave Barrow

Craig arranged two funerals for my family with professionalism and kindness. His communication has been brilliant both times and he made a really difficult time feel easy and seamless with beautiful flowers and tributes. When Mum passed away he was able to ensure Dad felt in safe hand. Both funerals felt perfect. We can’t thank him enough.

Arranging a funeral for a loved one is one of the most challenging parts of life. At a time where your heart is truly breaking and you are lost and feeling vulnerable you need to find someone you trust, who is compassionate and empathetic and who can guide you through the process. As a family we truly wanted to capture all of my nans final wishes and make them a reality and this is something you will get with Adams. You will not find a more honest, considerate, passionate and professional service. The communication was absolutely incredible and Craig was available at all hours, nothing was ever too much trouble. From 1st meeting Craig he was warm and welcoming, his premises is immaculate and he truly listened and respected our values and understood us as a family. It was more than a transactional service like you get with most places; Craig is a rare and beautiful soul and we truly feel that he is part of the family. We were able to share memories of Nan and he provided emotional support to us all if we needed. Every attention to detail, the way in which he cared and looked after my Nan was absolutely flawless. He succeeds above expectations and during the most painful time in your life instructing Adams will be the most comforting and best decision you will make.
