H G Harris Funeral Directors is a long-established and respected funeral home located in Staple Hill, Bristol, operating as part of the independent, family-run Austin Sheppard Funeral Directors group. Founded by Tommy HG Harris in 1952 from the Broad Street funeral home in Staple Hill, the business has deep roots in the local community. Tommy originally lived on site with his wife Emily, where they operated their own horses and hearse. Austin Sheppard took over the business following Mr Harris' passing in 1970, continuing the tradition of compassionate and professional funeral care. In October 2021, HG Harris moved into purpose-built premises on the same site, ensuring families are served in a modern, dignified environment.
