"A very homely and welcoming experience. A real delight at such a sad and difficult time. She was very efficient with the paperwork and we felt so relaxed — we kept her there talking for ages."
— Mark Bewick (about Kim)
"I just wish to say a big thank you to Jo for the personal finishing touches — 12 hour candles, cards and sweet pea seeds to plant in remembrance."
— Nicole Gaugas (about Jo)
"On the day of the funeral, the funeral director Matthew and his team were so polite, courteous, thoughtful and kind. So many of our guests commented on how wonderful the arrangements had been and we agreed this was a fitting farewell for our father."
— Ian Sutherland (about Matthew)
"Jo Amos and the whole team at Albany helped create a celebration of Jean's life, but more than that, they showed me compassion, empathy and a helping hand when I needed it most. I cannot thank or praise them enough for helping me through such a difficult day."
— Graham Phillips (about Jo Amos)
"They walk the difficult and painful road of grief with you. I was impressed with their meticulous attention to detail and how they had time for us in those early hard days of losing someone. Albany Funerals created a really special event. At the funeral, they were not just going through the motions."
— Stuart & Jessica Macdonald
"Jo combined kindness, compassion, and highly informed professionalism. She gently guided me through all the official requirements... Jo and her team worked on every detail, no matter how small, to achieve exactly the funeral that I had hoped for. I cannot thank them enough."

Excellent in every respect. My husband died in March and was taken into the care of the coroner. I contacted Albany Funerals and they handled everything from that point on exactly as I wished. Jo combined kindness, compassion, and highly informed professionalism. She gently guided me through all the official requirements I wanted a secular funeral where the eulogy was spoken by me and divided into parts, separated by pieces of music that my husband loved. Jo located all the musical items I wanted, not an easy task, and took on the responsibility of playing them at the funeral. I made many requests and each one was handled sensitively and very effectively. As I didn't want to use a place of worship, or a crematorium for the service, she suggested several alternatives and I was able to choose a beautiful venue that overlooked the countryside. Jo and her team (mainly Keris and Suzanne) worked on every detail, no matter how small, to achieve exactly the funeral that I had hoped for. I cannot thank them enough.

Albany Funerals were so caring and thoughtful. They walk the difficult and painful road of grief with you. I was impressed with their meticulous attention to detail and how they had time for us in those early hard days of losing someone. I could not have wished for a better funeral for my stepfather. Albany Funerals created a really special event. At the funeral, they were not just going through the motions. Huge thanks.

My darling wife Jean’s funeral was carried out by Albany Funerals Ashford on 12th April 2023, at Hawkinge Crematorium. I wanted a celebration of Jean’s life. Jo Amos and the whole team at Albany helped create that, but more than that, they showed me compassion, empathy and a helping hand when I needed it most. I cannot thank or praise them enough for helping me through such a difficult day. Perhaps having pre-dominantly ladies running the company accounts for their extra empathy. At least 10/10 in every area of their services, including costs. Despite this being such a difficult time in my life, I have no hesitation in recommending Albany, especially as I had also used their Maidstone branch four years earlier for my Mother’s funeral

The whole team at Albany were amazing, in particular Jo and Jim at the Ashford office. From the very outset Jim was able to provide a full range of advice and helpful suggestions, many that we hadn’t considered. The company’s organisation was exceptional and although a sad occasion we had the most fantastic and memorable day for dad. Albany were able to put us in touch with a perfect celebrant and an amazing florist. All the paperwork and fees were settled on one account, leaving us nothing to be concerned about. On the day of the funeral, the funeral director, Matthew, and his team were so polite, courteous, thoughtful and kind. Dad was previously a Jaguar owner so to make his final trip in Jo’s hearse was the perfect occasion. So many of our guests commented on how wonderful the arrangements had been and we agreed this was a fitting farewell for our father. I can not recommend Albany enough. They made us feel so at ease with the whole process, nothing was too much trouble for them and although we had a traditional service and internment I know that they are open to a whole range of services to absolutely meet the needs of any grieving family. I thoroughly recommend this company to help out anyone who might need there services.

Albany funerals were absolutely brilliant from the day we walked into their offices. They handled everything perfectly for me and my family and I cannot recommend them highly enough. It is obviously a horrible time for everyone, but Jo and Matthew made it a whole lot easier. Thank you to you both.
