We have recently used Ashby Funeral Care for my lovely, much loved dad. I cannot begin to say how excellent Simon and his team have been from start to finish. From our initial appointment, through to dads funeral yesterday, Simon was very caring and compassionate during this difficult time. His professionalism, empathy and suggestions for certain aspects of dads funeral were excellent. He recommended an excellent celebrant, and went above and beyond with a few extra touches, which were very much appreciated by us all. We received very positive comments about the service from many of the mourners.In a nutshell …..thank you for absolutely everything yesterday Simon (and staff). It seems a little odd writing a review for something of this nature however I am a big believer of giving credit where it is due.We used Ashby Funeral Care for both my Father and Mother and in both instances we found AFC brilliant. The understanding, kindness, empathy and ability to communicate effectively that Simon and the team do is a true rarity in todays world. The importance of these skills are paramount where you are essentially bolting the final elements of someone's life.We as a family are very grateful for the levels of professionalism that the team displayed throughout both process'. Kind , friendly, efficient, Sarah looked after us extremely well and took great care with our arrangements. On the day of the funeral the drivers negotiated our 'tricky' drive with great care and consideration and Sarah looked spectacular, and conducted proceedings with great dignity. Thank-you.
