A.W. Lymn - The Family Funeral Service West Bridgford

From our very first contact, Emily at Lymn’s West Bridgford office was outstanding. She was unfailingly kind, considerate and calm, and guided us through an incredibly difficult time with real sensitivity and professionalism. Nothing ever felt rushed or overlooked, and her communication throughout was clear, reassuring and thoughtful. On the day of the funeral, Edward and his team were exceptional. Their quiet presence, care and attention ensured everything ran seamlessly from the service through to the crematorium, allowing us to focus fully on saying goodbye, knowing every detail was being taken care of. A special thank you also to Andrew and his team for the evening before the service, when my mother was welcomed into the church. It was handled with great dignity and respect, and meant a great deal to our family. Finally, thank you to Russell, our bus driver, who shuttled guests between the church, the crematorium and the wake. His patience, good humour and calm presence were genuinely appreciated. A.W. Lymn handled every aspect with dignity and professionalism. I am deeply grateful to everyone involved, and especially to Emily, whose compassion and care made a very difficult time easier to bear. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Start to finish an excellent service and also able to deal with some unusual requests that we had.

Westbridgeford Nottingham branch . Our wishes was not carried out for our daughters funeral in August 2023. We was deceived by A W Lymn. We did not find this out until after the funeral when there was a enquiry to find missing Jewellery/ a gold necklace & pendant that our daughter was wearing at the time of death .. Lymn said this was an ERROR on there part. The necklace apparently was cremated by mistake they said .The necklace had great sentimental value to us .A enormous and devastating ERROR on there part, that we will never get over . They never dressed or made up our daughter as requested,even though we supplied dry cleaned designer clothes for her to be dressed in and makeup. They led us to believe this had been done . This is our lasting memory of our daughter. We would not use Lymns again .

Dad requested Lymn at West Bridgford to arrange his funeral two years' ago. Our Mum and family were so impressed with the professionalism, care and understanding from Colum and Sarah, that she wished the same for her funeral. The support and friendship given to us by Sarah and Colum was even more personal this time since they had known Mum, which made such a difference at a very emotional and upsetting time. Thank you both very much.
