Barringtons Funeral Directors

We opted to look at a couple of Funeral Directors before choosing to use Lisa and Nikki / Barringtons for my mother’s funeral - the reasons for me were: the approach, the open conversation and suggestions, not pushing anything that we did not require in fact giving us ideas as to how to make things more cost effective and easier on our emotions. Both ladies were able to relate to the circumstances and were of great support. For me it was about finding a local business to support alongside the right fit for the most important woman in my life to care for her until the end. Not only that, we love to support women in business and I can see why and how successful they are. Not only were Lisa and Nikki fantastic, the who team who supported mum and the family on the day were wonderful. Every worry I had along the way was met with kindness and understanding. Even the little details that I wanted in place were managed with care. With Lisa there at Green Acres to support and ensure it all went to plan - and it was deeply heart breaking for us yet a wonderful day in many ways. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. The most incredible service Lisa and Nikki made us feel comfortable from the first second we met with them. Trusting them completely and knowing they understood how we were feeling was such a comfort, although heartbreaking 💔 They made us feel like they were with us every step of the way and held our hand at all stages. I called and spoke to Nikki to enquire about prices a few days before my mum died while I was shopping around trying to work out who to go with once the inevitable happened. She was lovely, really helpful and understanding and was happy to let me do things my own way with no pressure at all. Then came the night when mum passed, I called the 24hr number at about 4am not really knowing what to expect, Lisa answered and I was so kind and reassuring, she asked if I was James because Nikki had told her that I may be in touch (which was a lovely touch - that she remembered me, even at 4am!) and from that phonecall onwards Lisa took care of everything, attentively and with so much care and reassurance. There was no pressure to do anything we didn’t want to do or spend anything we didn’t want to spend - my mum was looked after so lovingly and respectfully by Lisa and the staff at barringtons I couldn’t have asked for more. AND they charge less than 5-6 other funeral directors I spoke to in and around the local area. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Lisa & Barringtons - all of the little personal touches they do, it’s not a big corporate company, it’s a small personal caring business that really made an awful time in my families lives that bit easier. 5 stars isn’t enough to rate them. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a personal, caring experience. My family and I are so grateful for everything they did for my mum and for us. This review doesn’t even do them justice. Thank you Lisa, you really are a superstar.

I first met nikki with my sister after loosing a dearest dad. Nikki greeted us with a much welcomed hug. It was the hardest thing me and my sister have ever had to do. Nikki went above and beyond to make such a dreadful time as stress free as possible. Nikki showed such sympathy and empathy. Totally understanding of how we was feeling. I hadn't heard of Green acres before but nikki suggested this magical majestic place. That is where we said goodbye to dad. Nikki was there with us at Green acres. We can't thank nikki enough for paying her respects to our dearest dad with us. That meant a lot to us. I highly recommend Barringtons for going that extra mile 👌 ❤️

Barrington’s Funeral Directors were exceptional in arranging my father’s funeral. From start to finish, the care and professionalism shown made an incredibly difficult time so much easier to manage. Nikki was amazing — she took all the stress out of everything and handled every detail with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. Nothing felt rushed or overwhelming, and we always felt supported and listened to. Thank you so much for making such a hard experience feel manageable and dignified.
