Colin McGinley Independent Family Funeral Service is an independent, family-run funeral directors based in Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees. The business has deep roots in the local community, originally operating as 'Yarm Funeral Service' before Colin McGinley rebranded and expanded the operation. Colin's journey into the funeral profession began in 1980 when he started hiring vehicles to the funeral trade, and by July 1989 he had qualified as a Funeral Director, dedicating himself entirely to this vocation. He chose Yarm and Eaglescliffe as the location for his family-run business, and in 2000 relocated to 3 Beechwood Road, Eaglescliffe, where the branch continues to serve the Stockton-on-Tees community today.
The business is run by two closely-knit families, led by Colin McGinley, and has grown to a team of 12 dedicated members. The Eaglescliffe branch is committed to providing a professional, personal, and caring service tailored to the individual wishes of each family. They offer support and guidance through what can be a very difficult time, ensuring that every family receives compassionate and dignified care.
Colin McGinley Independent Family Funeral Service also partners with Golden Charter, one of the UK's largest funeral plan providers, allowing families to plan ahead and secure their funeral arrangements in advance. The branch operates Monday to Friday 8:30am–4:30pm, with appointments available on Saturdays and Sundays.
