E. C. Thomas & Son is an independent family funeral directors and memorial masons serving the families of Pembrokeshire for over 60 years. The business was originally established in 1956 in Pembroke Dock by Mr & Mrs Edward Thomas, and has grown into a reputable and recognised company in the local community. Their branch at 21 Main Street, Pembroke serves as one of two locations operated by the company.
In 2001, Stewart and Elizabeth Treharne took over the business, bringing professional training and qualifications to uphold the high standards set by the founders. Stewart holds a Certificate in Funeral Practice from the IFD college, and the business maintains memberships with the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), the Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), and the British Institute of Funeral Directors (BIFD). The next generation of the family, son Daniel, is now also involved in running the business.
The ethos of E. C. Thomas & Son is built on honesty, trust, and professionalism, offering a personalised, dignified, and caring service to families in their time of need. They provide a full range of funeral services including attended and unattended funerals, memorial masonry, and funeral planning through Golden Charter.
