F Woodruff – Winterbourne is a branch of Austin Sheppard Funeral Directors Ltd, an independent, family-run funeral directors serving Bristol, South Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas for well over 80 years. The F Woodruff name was established in 1968 by Fred Woodruff, with the first funeral home located in Bell Road, Coalpit Heath. The business was passed on to Austin Sheppard in 1987, and the Winterbourne branch was subsequently opened as one of two additional offices established under the F Woodruff name, alongside a branch in Yate.
The Winterbourne branch can be reached on 01454 773 776 and is part of a network of five funeral homes operating across Bristol and the surrounding area. The wider group also trades as HG Harris and L&J Gulwell, all under the Austin Sheppard Funeral Directors Ltd umbrella.
F Woodruff – Winterbourne offers a full range of funeral services, including attended funerals, cremations, burials, direct cremations, and pre-paid funeral plans. The team is dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and dignified care to bereaved families at every step of the arrangement process. The company is a member of both the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), and is an appointed representative of Golden Charter Funeral Plans.
