F Woodruff Funeral Services is a long-established independent funeral director based in Coalpit Heath, Bristol, with a history stretching back to 1968 when it was founded by Fred Woodruff. The original funeral home was located on Bell Road, Coalpit Heath, before moving to its current premises on Badminton Road, where it has remained ever since. In 1987, the business was passed on to Austin Sheppard, and the Coalpit Heath branch became the family home for Austin, his wife Nichola, and the rest of the family.
Now operating as part of Austin Sheppard Funeral Directors Ltd, F Woodruff – Coalpit Heath is one of five funeral homes across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, all dedicated to providing compassionate and professional funeral services. The team offers a full range of services including cremations, burials, direct cremations, and pre-paid funeral plans, guiding families with care through every step of the arrangement process.
As members of both the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), F Woodruff upholds the highest standards of professional practice. With well over 80 years of combined experience across the group, families can trust in a service that is both deeply personal and consistently dignified.
