Forsey and Son Independent Funeral Directors is a long-established, family-run firm founded in 1946 by Wilfred Albert Forsey. Based at their award-winning premises, Willowfields, on Lowerside Road in Glastonbury, Somerset, the company has grown to serve a wide area of Somerset while maintaining its personal, professional, and sympathetic approach. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, the business is led by Chairman Adrian Forsey and his son Samuel, the Managing Director, who together continue the family tradition of dedicated service.
The Glastonbury branch is home to The Pavilion, a light, spacious, and comfortable room available for funeral services, wakes, after funeral receptions, conferences, and other gatherings. Forsey and Son offer a comprehensive range of services including Unattended Direct Cremation, Attended Simple Cremation, The Pavilion Simple and Plus packages, and fully bespoke funeral arrangements tailored to individual family needs. They also provide memorial masonry services, pre-planned funeral arrangements, and a bereavement support group called STEPS.
As members of both SAIF (the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors) and the NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors), Forsey and Son adhere to strict codes of professional practice. The firm prides itself on flexible payment options, community support, environmentally conscious choices such as hybrid vehicles and willow coffins, and a 24-hour caring service.
