I had to liaise with Gillman Funeral Service following the passing of my grandmother, who had arranged a Choice Funeral Plan with them some years prior.Initially, my point of contact was Estrella at the Balham branch (E A Godfrey & Gillman Funeral Service), and the experience began positively. However, issues arose when key information was not communicated promptly, leading to stress and wasted time. The biggest disappointment was no email or call from her after the funeral to see how the day went. My only correspondence from her after the funeral was in response to my email regarding a refund. On the day of the funeral:Fortunately, my confidence in Gillman's service was restored when I learned that Toyah would be overseeing the arrangements, which was reassuring, especially since Toyah and Kingsley had handled my grandmother's body professionally when she passed away. Toyah was amazing from start to finish. She made my family feel very comfortable, provided clear communication with us before the funeral, and went through the schedule and the plan for the day. Any questions I had, she could answer them, and she confirmed everything with me the day before, down to the colours of their tie, etc. So, on the day of the funeral, we felt relaxed. The whole day went according to plan and was pure perfection. Toyah led the team and coordinated with the church amazingly. The whole team from Gillman's on the day was so friendly.I'm uncertain about using Gillman Funeral Service in the future, but if Toyah were to be part of the process again, I would seriously consider their services.

A lovely group of people. They make you feel so welcome and at ease when your going through a terrible time. Toya was lovely, sympathetic and comforting, very friendly she made me feel so much better on the day and made sure I was ready for the worst time of my life. She was lovely to my daughter and comforted her tooI felt as though I had known them for a long time.

Professional, Kind & Patient was what we received dealing with Gillman in Garret Lane. Especially Bella helped and guided me at a very difficult time when our young sister died. This is the 3rd time our family have dealt with Gillman and the customer service is always of the highest quality. I have no hesitation encouraging friends to use Gillman. We wish all the staff the very best.

Gillman's were absolutely brilliant in organising my late Mum's funeral. They helped me find a solution to an issue I had in a professional, sympathetic manner and the funeral went without a hitch. From the wonderful Bella and her colleagues in the office, to Tony and his team who looked after me and my guests on the actual day, it was an experience in outstanding service at a time of great sadness. My Mum (bless her) told me I had to use Gillman's, as she knew she would be in safe hands, and they dealt with my late Grandparents' and Uncle's funerals, so she didn't want anyone else to do hers. And now I know why. I would highly recommend Gillman's to anyone arranging a funeral. They are simply the best. No contest. Bless them all.

Following the recent passing of my father, Gillman Funeral Service provided a wonderful service in a difficult sensitive time of need. I was made to feel comfortable and at ease on all of my trips to the office. Lindsay was very respectful in all aspects of her arrangements. She is friendly, polite and easy to converse with. Everything which was requested was met brilliantly and I can not fault them. I have to give a shout out to Steph and Jeff. Jeff my dad looked fantastic. On the day of the funeral It was a lovely respectful farewell the team had done they task superbly. The sun came shining down.I would highly recommend Gillman Funeral Service, they will not fail your expectations.
