The Ashington branch, located at 81 Station Road, is part of this trusted network of funeral homes, offering families the reassurance of experienced, dedicated care when they need it most. The firm prides itself on high standards of service, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to supporting bereaved families through every step of the process.
Staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are able to visit families in their own homes to arrange and advise on all aspects of a funeral. Services offered include cremations, burials, modern embalming, alternative funerals, non-religious funerals, and pre-planned funeral arrangements through Golden Charter. John Grenfell & Son is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the British Institute of Funeral Directors.

Very professional funeral directors to deal with. Chris and Wendy respectfully looked after Dad for us during this difficult time. All aspects of Dad's funeral were expertly organised and facilitated very well. My mother was collected in the early hours from her care home. I visited her every day in the chapel of rest. I was always treated politely and with respect by all staff and kept up to date with all planning and potential problems from step family. All problems and arrangement's were managed well. Many thanks to John Grenfell and Sons for delivering a quality service at a very sad time. A big thank you to all the staff. Well recommended.
