Keith C. Britton and Son is an independent, family-run funeral directors based at 10 High Street, Yatton, North Somerset, with a history spanning over 55 years. The business traces its roots to T. J. Lukins & Son, where founder Keith Britton began working after school. Following the death of Richard Lukins in 1963, Keith and his wife Jill continued the business under the name Keith C. Britton, relocating to their current High Street premises in 1969. Keith achieved his Diploma in Funeral Directing in November 1969, and when their son Julian was born in 1972, the name became Keith C. Britton & Son. Julian joined the family firm in 1988, became a member of the British Institute of Embalmers in 1992, and passed his Diploma in Funeral Directing in 1995. Additional family members Ben and Jemma joined in 2011 and 2019 respectively.
As members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), the British Institute of Funeral Directors (BIFD), and the British Institute of Embalmers (BIE), the team upholds the highest professional standards. They offer a comprehensive, personalised service tailored to individual wishes, including a 24-hour emergency service every day of the year, pre-paid funeral plans through Golden Charter, and a chapel of rest.
