Lilleywhite Funeral Service is Prestwich's longest established independent family-run funeral service, founded in 1897 by John Reuben Lilleywhite. Now proudly operated by the fifth generation of the Lilleywhite family, the business has been serving the local community and the wider Greater Manchester area for over 125 years. Their longstanding heritage is matched by a deep commitment to professionalism, integrity, and compassionate care.
Based on Bury Old Road opposite Heaton Park, the branch offers a warm and traditional environment with three arrangement rooms, a coffin showroom, and an on-site Chapel of Rest available by appointment. Ample on-street parking is available adjacent to the building. The team can be contacted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring families always have access to support and advice when they need it most.
Lilleywhite Funeral Service specialises in both traditional and bespoke funerals, with religious and non-religious options available. Their services include pre-paid funeral plans, international repatriation, headstones and monumental masonry, floral tributes, and a full fleet of funeral vehicles. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, with weekend appointments available on request.
