Originally known as Webster's, a firm of joiners and undertakers operating with a horse-drawn hearse, the business evolved through various partnerships before becoming R. W. Percival. In 2009, the business was acquired by the Jepson family and is now under the personal supervision of Tom Jepson, a fifth-generation funeral director who holds his Diploma in Funeral Directing (DipFD).

Percival, led by Harry and Tom Jepson alongside administrator Deborah Scragg, is dedicated to guiding families through bereavement with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the team provides support at every stage — from the initial call through to the day of the funeral and beyond. Additional services include flowers, headstones, coffins, pre-paid funeral plans, and the creation of orders of service. The business is a member of both the NAFD and SAIF, reflecting its commitment to the highest professional standards.
