Mum and I remain most grateful for the outstanding service of Richard Steel and Partners in saying goodbye to Dad recently. The exceptional care and attention to detail of Lee Attard-Vallois are notable. Lee’s support went and goes above and beyond what may be expected. Logan Henry’s audio-visual tribute was perfect. Sarah Kerr’s gentleness and positivity were so much appreciated. Our hopes for Dad’s service were supremely realised. We are so very grateful to Richard Steel and Partners.

We very sadly and suddenly lost Richard, my husband and son to Sally and Dave. It was not a situation we chose to be in, least of all Richard. Rachel our funeral director was professional from the very beginning. She was calming and beyond supportive to us all. She gave us reassurance and answered our very many questions with ease and kindness. Rachel helped us through the most toughest time in our life and made this saddest of times just that little bit easier . We also want to mention Terry and the lovely girl who came to take Richard to the chapel of rest. We were all in great shock at that time, they gave Richard such respect and we are truly grateful to them. I will continue to call Rachel 'Amazing', she is exactly the right person to do this job , warm and friendly. We could do with more Rachel's in today's world. Huge thanks to Richard Steel and Partners for handling our mother’s funeral arrangements with great dignity and care. My siblings and I were so well supported and were treated with such kindness by all the team. They helped guide us through everything and we had a wonderful send off for our Mum.

Iain Steel and his team have been absolutely amazing all through the process of planning our dad's funeral and on the day itself. We couldn't have asked for more. Their phenomenal attention to detail, patience, sensitivity and experience made everything run so smoothly and made a difficult and emotional time so much easier for us. Chesil House was such a beautiful venue for the funeral service and all the staff were exemplary. Logan did a wonderful job on the livestream, sound and visuals and Iain was on hand to check every little detail - even down to checking my brother and I remembered to eat some of the delicious funeral tea! I really can't thank them enough and couldn't recommend Richard Steel and Partners more highly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and everything was done to the highest of standards and done with compassion and dignity. We also booked an 'unattended' crematorium committal the day after the service and I hadn't expected such a formal and beautiful final carrying of my dad's coffin into the crematorium by Sophie and her team, as my brother and I just stood outside watched. It was done superbly, with Sophie walking before the hearse for the final 100 yards and then beautifully coordinating her team to lift the coffin and carry him inside Basingstoke crematorium with every formality and care. It gave us a beautiful final memory. They really couldn't have done it better, I would recommend Richard Steel and Partners to anyone.

Sophie led us through this difficult process with such kindness and professionalism. Making decisions at such a difficult time is hard but Sophie and her brilliant team, kept us on track. Our Celebrant Emma was kind and attentive. She gauged the family very quickly and between us all delivered a service that was beautiful. The garden room at Chesil House was perfect for us. Everything was peaceful and seamless, which made honouring and saying a last goodbye to my Dad slightly easier. Thank you Sophie, Emma, Logan & Emma 🙏
