Sterry Funeral Service (incorporating Sterry's of Hythe)

It was a sunny afternoon in Hythe, when I stepped through the door of Sterry Funeral Services. My mood......Glum. Having been told my Dad only had about a week to live, I was in auto mode. Just trying to get things in place, as you do. Well, what an experience!!! I was greeted by Jen, who sat me down and we began the process. Professional, compassionate are just a few of the qualities I felt and this was only the beginning. I must have been there for an hour and by the time I left, Jen and myself were laughing like a couple of teenagers. Tears pouring down our cheeks. People must have wondered what on earth was going on, as we stood at the door, still sharing funny stories. Had I come to right place? You bet I had The next couple of weeks flew by and with the help of Jen and the team, they really helped to make sure things were in place, decisions made and what was best for our family. Oh! And Dad Looking back, I feel that Jen saw something in me. I'm generally an easy going, stoic person but the death of my father shook me. Harder than I thought. To be honest, on the inside I was close to breaking a lot of the time. However, Jen kept on pushing, just a little nudge every so often to get the job done. I cannot thank her enough for this. I really just wanted to get drunk in a corner somewhere. With all the arrangements in place, my father's funeral was perfect. It was thanks to everyone at Sterry's that the service was a mixture of personal, professional and funny moments. Jen and Heidi have both been amazing and so supportive from the very start when I first went there to arrange my dad’s funeral, very easy to talk to and discuss everything. I can’t thank them enough I highly suggest to come to these in Hythe down the high street and see these 2 lovely ladies. My dads funeral was yesterday on 2nd April and even then everyone the gentleman and the ladies were smashing it and my dad got a lovely laid to rest :)

In difficult times like those when you lose loved ones it's not easy at all, Very compassionate,kind and understanding at Sterry Funeral Service. Jen and Heidi were brilliant explaining everything and very accommodating if new thoughts were to take place in the funeral, I am very thankful for them and their whole team .
