🚨Extremely disappointed with this funeral home. Disturbingly it was made out that our family member was going to be kept their straight from the hospital... Infact he was taken to a different branch miles away in surrey while we were told that he was staying in Aylesbury & assured he was there. Yet he wasn't as they only have space for 3 people at a time. My mum asked is he here yet? The lady said yes he is. So that was a lie. We was also told they would remove his pacemaker in the Aylesbury branch but as he wasn't there it was done in Surrey & he was accidentally embalmed! Even through we asked for him not to be. They eventually had to admit he wasn't in Aylesbury to explain the accidental embalming. After asking for finger prints for a while it kept being put off obviously we now know it's because he wasn't actually in Aylesbury. It was only after the accidental embalming that it started to come out that he wasn't in Aylesbury. Although they put themselves under investigation we wasn't told what was actually going on. As far as we thought he had been accidentally taken from Aylesbury co op to Surry at some point. They refused to tell us when he actually arrived in the Aylesbury co op at 1st which led to family being distraught & feeling like our family member was being treated like a lost parcel in the post. It was made very clear that we wanted him to stay in the Aylesbury co op and if they had been honest that he wouldn't be we would have gone elsewhere. But instead they said he would be in (their care) clever wording meaning in one of their other branches. We found the staff to be very unprofessional and dishonest. To top this awful experience they accidentally sent an email to us that that had all of their investigations in it. They immediately rang up and asked us to not open it or read it! Meanwhile they quickly retracted the email while we where on the phone to them. After all of the problems i asked to view our family member to actually make sure it was him and they hadn't got the wrong person. I was told that decomposition had taken over and I couldn't view his face without being traumatised (their own words) and how he didn't look good. I refused and said I need to check it's actually him. An hour later they had got their manager down and allowed a viewing. Turns out that his face was perfect to view & he didn't even need makeup. You have to wonder what the hell was going on in this place? They assured us changes will be made to make sure this doesn't happen again and & offered a refund for the pacemaker removal. That was honestly laughable at that point and an insult. All the apologies really can't undo the damage that was done. Thank you co op for traumatizing the whole family & causing extreme emotional distress at an already difficult time. I would never trust this place again absolutely disgraceful & to think we had used them once before this makes too makes me feel sick to my stomach.
