From the very first phone call made to the Mickleover Co-op Funeral Home, the staff there made everything so easy. Nothing was to big of a request. They were sensitive throughout the planning of my fathers funeral and made sure everything was just as we and he, had wanted it. Somerset was brilliant and patient with all of the planning leading up to the funeral. She did not get frustrated with the endless emails I sent to her around how things needed to be, and Gillian ensured on the day of the funeral that everything was how it should be. Which included decorating the chapel we were using, last minute changes to a video montage and helping an attendee with mobility issues to ensure she was Ok and taken good care of. They ensured the day was as pleasant as it could be given the circumstances and showed nothing but respect throughout. I was unsure initially about using the Co-op with them being a large chain and knowing this can sometimes mean these businesses aren't as diligent as smaller/independent businesses. However I can honestly say this was not the case. I am genuinely grateful and thankful we chose the Mickleover branch to support us through this difficult time. They did this with respect, kindness and compassion.
