"We dealt with a lovely lady called Barbara, she went above and beyond to ensure our dad's funeral went well. We never felt rushed at any appointments — she was very considerate and advised us about all aspects of arrangements."
— Daphne Devaney (about Barbara)
"We were never told that we couldn't do what we wanted — we collected the occupied casket in our own Dodge Ram Pickup, arranged our own flowers using his motorbike helmet, and drove around various places on our own. For that I am really thankful to the team at the Co-op."
— Dawn Manship
"The co op funeral have been amazing with everything they did for my daughter. Under the unbearable circumstances the coffin and funeral was beautiful and a massive thank you to dawn for being so kind and understanding."
— T Trigg (about Dawn)
"Absolutely lovely staff at the cooperative funeral-care, took care of my mum as if she was their own & looked after us when we visited. Especially Jenny who did an amazing job with helping us with my mums day — she deserves more than a 5 star rating, I doubt we would have been able to do it without her."

Kind and professional. We dealt with a lovely lady called Barbara, she went above and beyond to ensure our dad’s funeral went well. Advised us about all aspects of arrangements. Was very considerate, we never felt rushed at any appointments we had. All staff were professional.

Arranging a funeral for someone who passed away at a relatively young age and unexpectedly is always going to be difficult, made harder by the fact that the person concerned wouldn't have wanted funeral. We were set to plan a direct cremation, until we were repeatedly asked when the funeral was going to be, we felt like we needed to mark the occasion but this couldn't be a regular funeral. After our initial chat and discussing our suggestions, We purchased the casket from a 3rd party and had it delivered to the funeral home, arranged our own flowers (using the motorbike helmet of the deceased), we were able to collect the occupied casket before the service in our own vehicle a Dodge Ram Pickup, with scaffolding supports, to stop any movement (he owned a scaffold company), we were able to drive around various places on our own and as long as we were at the crematorium for the allotted time we could pretty much do what we wanted. Our service was to be non-religious, I took the service myself, playing the pre arranged music/video/photos was easy and well explained on arrival, we had no celebrant, we didn't want singing, or an order of service (as these just get put in a drawer at home). It was just a really relaxed occasion and had a sense of wellbeing (the venue at Countesthorpe helped). We had many compliments and comments that the occasion would have been liked by the person we were their to pay our respects to. We were never told that we couldn't do what we wanted and for that I am really thankful to the team at the Co-op.

Absolutely lovely staff at the cooperative funeral-care, took care of my mum as if she was their own & looked after us when we visited to sort my mums day out. Especially Jenny who did an amazing job with helping us with my mums day (I say day bcoz I don’t like the “F” word 😑), Jenny is a lovely kind lady inside & out, she deserves more than a 5🌟rating I doubt we would of been able to do it without her so thank you and the coop for your service.
