Tudor-Davies Funeral Services is a family-run, independent funeral directors based at The Beeches, 142 Waterloo Road, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. Established in July 1992 by Geoffrey Tudor, MBIE, Dip. FD and partner J. Barry M. Davies, the company has been caring for local families across Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and the surrounding areas of North Staffordshire for over 25 years. The Burslem funeral home was opened in February 2006 following extensive renovations and features two rest rooms, a fully equipped mortuary, offices, a reception area, and a catering room for families.
The business is proudly independent and not linked with any other funeral company. The owners bring over 50 years of combined experience in the funeral profession, and Tudor-Davies is a member of both the National Association of Funeral Directors and the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors. Geoff has been a qualified Member of the British Institute of Embalmers since 1965, and the team includes trained embalmers, funeral directors, and experienced support staff.
At Tudor-Davies, every funeral is tailored to individual needs, with transparent pricing and no hidden costs. The team prides itself on offering a high standard of personal service at a reasonable cost, ensuring families' wellbeing is always at the centre of their attention.
"They made such a difference and did a wonderful job. The end result was something never forgotten and I cannot recommend this family firm too highly. Nothing was too much trouble and they always seemed to be available and have time for us."
— Alan Paling (about Haydn)
"Nothing was too much trouble, everything we wanted was arranged without hesitation. They never rushed us once for any decisions we had to make as a family. No hidden costs. I would not hesitate in recommending these lovely people for your future needs."
— JACKIE Wilshaw (about Haydn)
"A special thank you to Rhianna and George, who were so kind, compassionate and sympathetic when they came to collect my late mum. At such a painful time, their care and gentleness meant more than I can put into words."
— Sophia Macowecky (about Rhianna)
"They gave my dad a wonderful final journey to the PortVale ground on route to the Crematorium. They also dressed the coffin with a PortVale flag and arranged for family flowers in the PortVale colours. Heartfelt thanks to Tudor Davies, you did my dad proud."
— Marie Carrington (about Haydn)
"Tudor-Davies Funeral Service have been a true source of comfort and support during the most heartbreaking time of my life. Every detail was handled with respect and thoughtfulness, and the service itself reflected Jez perfectly. Hayden listened, guided us with compassion, and went above and beyond to make sure Jez had the farewell he deserved. I am endlessly grateful for the dignity, warmth and understanding shown to me and my family."
— Kate Bromley (about Hayden)
"Even when I didn't know if I was coming or going, he remained calm, patient and reassuring, always telling me it was okay. Whenever we spoke on the phone, he always asked how I was and never once made me feel rushed. When I went to see mum in the chapel of rest, Jackie was incredibly kind. She gave us all the time we needed and simply sat with us when there were no words. That meant so much to us as a family."
— Sophia Macowecky (about Haydn)
